As I was planning my entertaining schedule this year, I decided I really wanted to host a dessert bar instead of a full-blown dinner party—simply for the reason that folks are usually so incredibly full after dinner that it’s hard to even think about enjoying dessert. I don’t know how late your party-goers plan to stay when you are hosting your party, but I like to send my guests home at the end of the night with a cup of coffee.
