Outdoor Summer Party

Is Summer officially here even though it’s not June 21 yet?  My vote says, “YES,” so I’m getting together with some of my friends to share inspiration for an Outdoor Summer Party that you can easily put together at your house.  So before you start scheduling your get-togethers this summer, let’s take a peek and see how my friends celebrate the season.

Blankets and Pillows

When I invite friends and/or family over for an Outdoor Garden Party, I like creating multiple conversational areas in the yard.  Each spot casually invites guests to sit and stay awhile.  One way this is easily done is by throwing quilts or blankets on the ground with oversized pillows for a small, intimate setting.

Cozy Up The Porch

My front porch is always invited to the party and I find it’s a favorite spot for my guests to gravitate to.  Set up lemonade or wine on a bar cart and they may ignore the “last call” announcement and never leave.

Go All Out

The 4th of July is a great excuse for a backyard party and this get-together definitely celebrates our nation with all things red, white & blue.  You can read all about this collaboration I did with Bed Bath & Beyond right here and see more photos of this outdoor setup.

Now, let’s take a look at some of friends’ outdoor summer party ideas for some major inspiration.

Happy Happy Nester

Janine at Happy Happy Nester has created the most gorgeous outdoor table setting that is all about fresh flowers.  The detail to attention that she gives this space would definitely make guests feel like they are dining first class.

My 100-Year-Old Home

Leslie My 100-Year-Old Home is known for the spectacular parties she throws.  I hope one day to be invited, but this amazing setting she created for her son’s engagement party was out of this world.

She Gave It A Go

A lemonade bar..WHAT?  Brendt She Gave It A Go had such a brilliant idea for this and I can’t wait to incorporate it into my next gathering.  This just screams summer.

Modern Glam

Ashley Modern Glam hosted this garden bridal shower and I can’t decide what I love more.  However, I think it’s that pink chair that would make any bride feel like a queen for the day.

The Happy Housie

Krista The Happy Housie has really has done a deck makeover that will have you scheduling entertaining here all summer long.  I love how she created a gorgeous beachy tablescape, while just on the other side is a couch all your guests can retreat to after dinner.

So whether you’re planning an informal gathering or something on a larger scale, I hope you were able to grab some inspiration for your summertime fun from all my friends.  Thank for stopping by.
