Hunter Fan Company Media Weekend

When I started The Pickled Rose, LLC, in 2015, I wasn’t sure where it would take me.  Fast forward four years and doors are opening that I could have never even imagined.  Fast forward, again, to last weekend when Hunter Fan Company invited me and a handful of other bloggers to join them in West Palm Beach, Florida, for a media weekend and I was over the moon excited.  I mean jumping-up-and-down excited.  Of course I would go.  As someone who gave up her full-time job as a court stenographer a couple of years ago to pursue this dream of mine, I never could have imagined looking down the road what could and WOULD come of it and this dream weekend with Hunter Fan Co was beyond amazing.

All Packed And Ready To Go

The weekend was full of so much excitement flying to Florida and meeting the Hunter Fan Company Team and making so many new friends.  It started for us as soon as we got  checked into our rooms at the West Palm Beach Hilton.  Hilton and Hunter Fan Company made our rooms feel like a home away from home with so many personal touches.

I couldn’t wait to snap a picture, but as you can see, I dug into the pineapple immediately.

The Hunter Fan Company swag was awesome, including a polaroid camera for capturing the weekend’s memories and a 2019 Lookbook showcasing all the new release fans that we were going to get to see a few of throughout the weekend.

Food

We were treated to the most amazing food all weekend.  Can I just say to West Palm Beach, “Y’all know how to serve it up.”   If you are ever in the Palm Beach area, my recommendations are The Avocado Grill, The Regional, Grandview Public, Lynora’s, and my favorite, The Rooftop Restaurant at Restoration Hardware which was a dining experience you don’t want to miss.

The Reveal

We were all excited to next head over to the Air BNB that Hunter Fan Company remodeled and see five ceiling fans from their new line that had not been released yet.  Let the Huntervention begin.

The Norden

I have to say the Norden fan was my absolute favorite.  If you follow me over on Instagram, you know I’m always a sucker for pops of pink and this subtle color I’m thinking would look great in my twin guest bedroom.  The design is modern but what a great accent it would be in any farmhouse decor as well.  It’s perfectly okay to mix the two styles.  This fan has an opaque stain that allows you to see through to the natural wood grain.  It is sleek and stunning and pulls out all the other pink decor in the space.

The Pendleton by Hunter

We are all familiar with Pendleton and their iconic plaid designs, right?  So why not put that design onto a fan?  That’s exactly what happened when Pendleton and Hunter Fan Company decided to collaborate.  BAM.  This beauty was born.  The creativity and modern design of this two-sided blade fan is sure to be a statement piece in any home.

The Havoc

All you outdoor-porch-sittin’ people, this fan’s for you.  The Havoc is a weather max fan.  What does that mean?  It’s resistant to ALL.THE.OUTDOOR.ELEMENTS!!!  What the WHAT?  I need this in my life.  Along with keeping you cool, it will, also, keep those pesky flies and mosquitoes away while you’re sipping’ lemonade.  This one is still a couple months away from being released, but I am telling you, it’s gonna be worth the wait.

Loki

The Loki Collection definitely makes a statement all on its own.  It brings whatever space it hangs in to a new level with its beautiful artistic design.  What I absolutely love about this fan is that fits in any style home, whether it be modern, contemporary or rustic.  Loki is available in three finishes but Hunter’s premium polished nickel finish is my FAVE!!

The Advocate

The low-profile modern design of the Advocate fan is from Hunter Fan Company’s SIMPLEconnect Collection.  The idea of a smart fan is absolutely GENIUS; don’t you think?  All of their smart fans are compatible with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Hunter’s own app.  They, also, work with an integrated remote as well.

Creative Challenge

We were all blown away by the new designs that Hunter Fan Company revealed.  We learned all about what went into creating each one which led us to begin our next task, a creative challenge, where we would be broken up into groups to design our own fan.

This was a two-day challenge that involved a lot of brainstorming and trend shopping.  We visited the unbelievable four-story Restoration Hardware to start gathering ideas for our fans.  We snapped photos and spoke with RH employees who gave us an exclusive tour.  I could have easily moved right in to this spectacular store.   We also visited other gorgeous local boutiques Hive and Walter Zabriskie Furniture to get our creative minds thinking.

After two days we presented our designs to the rest of the group.  We were under the direction of Patrick O’Connell who is a lead designer at Hunter Fan Company but we were given all creative authority.  What a dream it would be to see our lucite blade antique brass fan come to fruition.  EEEEKKKK!!!!

All of the groups had such great ideas for their fan designs and it was so fun to see what everyone came up with.

Enjoying West Palm Beach

We were able to take in some of West Palm Beach’s best architectural treasures on our pedal and peek bike tour.  We rode around the island taking in all the beautiful homes and dreaming of what it would be like to live there.

We also managed to squeeze in a trip to the Norton Museum of Art.  When I say this weekend was jam-packed, I am not kidding.

A Weekend To Remember

Like all good things, the weekend was quickly coming to an end with a farewell dinner and we would soon be saying good-bye.  Working alongside the Hunter Fan Company team was definitely a dream and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of it.  Thanks to Olivia and Meghan of TZA for coordinating and making it all happen.  And to the Hunter Team, Michele, Erin, Anna, Patrick and Chris, y’all are truly amazing.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

That’s a wrap!
