It’s Week 5 in the Jeffrey Court Home Renovation Challenge and we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I cannot believe reveal week is next week. GAHHHHH!!!! If you missed Week 4, you can read all about it right here.
We managed to get all the tile installed with the only thing left to do this week is the grout and the finishing touches that will pull everything together. AND, we had some extra help this week.
Curious as to what we’ve been up to, the big guy, Harley, always by our side, or over our shoulder, was making sure we were doing everything right.
The biggest challenge we faced throughout this project was the fact that Mark, a/k/a The Mister, works away from home during the week and we were limited mostly to the weekends. Even though it was a small tile project, I didn’t want to do the installation unless he was here. It’s really all about him forbidding me to run the tile cutter because I tend to be a little accident prone.
I can’t tell you how much I love this Jeffrey Court Emblem Tile which you can read all the details right here. It is exactly what I imagined and now that it’s all up, I’m just SWOONing over the color and pattern. I really debated over what color grout to use, but in the end, I chose white over a gray. I want to make sure that the pattern POPS and I think the white grout will beautifully frame each tile piece.
So this week the temporary trim pieces on the sides come down and the permanent ones go up, the grout goes on and the touch up painting gets completed. I am so excited to reveal the entire space next week. I said before, living in a construction zone can be a little stressful, so I will be so happy to get this room cleaned up and put back together. I can only imagine the sweet dreams I’ll have in this space now.
