Fall Comes To The She Shed

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my Autumn She Shed.  Fall is the time to layer gorgeous golden hues, textured neutrals and go mad for plaid which is exactly what I’ve done this season.    I wish you all could squeeze in to this space so we could chat about all things girlie and sip a mug of hot apple cider, but since we probably wouldn’t all fit, come on inside and take a look around.  Maybe you’ll see something that will inspire you in your own fall decor this year.  Start by taking a stroll past the cascade of mums and pumpkins and let’s go inside.

At First Glance

At first glance when you walk into the shed, this is your view.  With only a size of 10 x 20, it doesn’t take long to work your way around the space.

Mad for plaid this season should be my theme song.  As I’ve defined my own style over the years, I’ve discovered that it’s okay to mix patterns.  The orange plaid table cloth from Hobby Lobby blankets the space with it’s warm rich hues and will be perfect for dipping temperatures that are in our future.  Orange is definitely the go-to color for fall and when you mix it with other patterns like buffalo check and warm neutrals, you will never be out of style.

Grocery Store Decor

A table centerpiece can be as close as your own grocery store.  Grab your favorite box or basket and the next time you run to the store for eggs and milk, peruse the produce area and pick up some squash, gourds, pie pumpkins and egg plant.  All of these vegetables have great color and take centerstage when you arrange them together.  Add some kale for added texture and your table becomes a showstopper.  The striped paper table runner from Purple Rose Home is a simple accessory that gives me all the heart eyes and will be a staple for me that you will see throughout both the fall and Christmas season.

Pillows

Pillows are such an easy way to add autumn to your decor without breaking the bank.  Invest in cushy pillow inserts and with all the amazing pillow makers out there, your choices of pillow slips are endless and budget-friendly.  This pillow is one I added this year from Erin at Porterlane Home.  If you don’t know Erin and her pillows, you can follow her on Instagram right here.  The mix of the plaid throw and  chunky blanket give you the feeling of warmth when Jack Frost starts nipping at your nose.

Shop Your House

Be sure and shop your house when deciding on your fall decor.  Incorporating your collectables, like I’ve done with my vintage clocks, will be sure to add character.

Come Back Soon

I know it looks like it here, but the rug does not have eyes.  Charlie blends right in.  He wanted to get in on the tour and make sure he was included as well.  Thanks so much for stopping by friends.  I hope you enjoyed the shed and go away feeling inspired to bring the warm colors of fall into your home with my easy decorating ideas.  See ya next time, Friends.
