Holiday Blog Tour – Part 2

Tis the season for Blog Hops and Holiday House Walks…

Hi Pickled Rosies.  Welcome back to Part 2 of my Holiday Blog Tour.  If you missed Part 1, you can see it here.  I can’t believe there’s just a couple more weeks left before Christmas and there’s still so much to do.  I’ve been busy this week putting the finishing touches on the Christmas decor.  Oh, who’s kidding.  I’ll still be adding the finishing touches all the way up to the big day.  When is enough?  I’ll remind myself of that when it’s time to take it all down.

Sprinkle Christmas Throughout

I have really tried to sprinkle Christmas throughout the house this year giving each room their own “Fa La La” including this guest bedroom.

This was as simple as adding a few decorative pillows and small Christmas trees.  A little “Festive Fluff” I like to call it.  Oh, and don’t forget the garland.   If you follow me and my decor this year,  you know I’m ALL ABOUT THE GARLANDS.  Can I get an “Amen”?  You can make them as elaborate as you want, like the one I created from last week’s post, or as simple as this one made from inexpensive gift tags.

And the second guest room got ALL the feels too.

You can see this room that I created with Hobby Lobby in its entirety right here.

Magic

Chrismas lights are like magic, aren’t they?  I love laying in bed at night and being almost hypnotized by the lights.  It’s that same feeling you get when you stare into a bonfire.  You just can’t look away and somehow you feel a little warmer inside.

And having a fireplace in our master bedroom is a bonus for sure!

The Bells

This year, as if you haven’t noticed, it’s all about the bells and I have these to blame.

I mean, seriously, can we get a standing “O” for these?!!!!  I found them last spring on a junking trip to Junkstock in Omaha, Nebraska.  These have literally set the entire theme for my decor this year and if you can ever make the trip to this event, I recommend putting it on your Bucket List for 2018.

Christmas Kitchen

Christmas also showed up in the kitchen this year.  It is, after all, the heart of the home.  The one place that everyone seems to gather.   I wanted to make it as inviting as possible.   Keeping warm apple cider simmering on the stove is one way to make the house smell divine throughout the season.

Being the big-time foodies that we are, finally having a kitchen we can enjoy cooking in together for the holidays is a dream come true for Mr. PR and myself.

This little nook above the cabinets will draw your eyes right up and is a perfect spot for a few flocked trees.  And the open shelving keeps those plates and wine glasses right at your fingertips.

I so appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time out of your busy lives and stopping by.  You have blessed me in every way this past year and from my family to yours, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
