Fall Table

I’ll be showing you a few areas of my home and the first stop is the dining room and my fall table.  Creating a fall tablescape is such a fun way to express your creativity.  For me, that means a whimsical farmhouse style.  You can see the difference from last year’s tablescape right here.  It’s a complete opposite far as the colors I chose.  I wanted to get back to tradition with the gorgeous colors of fall and accents of buffalo check that you’ll find all throughout my home.  This cutting board has been one of my favorites from Curtis Creation, but apparently it’s been yours, too, because they are completely sold out.

My style this season is definitely defined by mixing patterns.  Remember, there are no rules.  When it comes to decorating, if you like it, do it.  Always do what you love and do what makes you happiest.  This year, as you can tell I’m mad for plaids.  Try adding these cute plates from Hobby Lobby to your already-existing dishware and the white metal chargers can be found at Curtis Creation. The plaid mixed with the green and white paper roll from Purple Rose Home make a perfect combination.

I love how the pumpkins add such vibrant color to the black and white buffalo check plates.  Also, adding live plants like mums to your centerpiece will kick your table up another level.  If you’re having a dinner party, it’s even fun to let each guest take home their own pumpkin.

Keep Your Style Cohesive

Keeping your style cohesive throughout your home is a great idea.  It improves the flow as you travel from one room to the next and is much more pleasing to the eye.  I have sprinkled buffalo check throughout.  The main focal point of this room is the Hand-Pickled Farm Fresh Pumpkin sign from Jen at Harper Grace.  I couldn’t even imagine a more perfect piece.  She has an amazing collection that you will definitely want to check out.  So start by choosing an anchor piece for your room and then create your style around it like I’ve done here.

Rustic pieces are a staple in my decor throughout my home.  I can’t resist a roadside antique store or a small town thrift shop.  You never know what you will find like this old porch railing and corbels.

I hope my fall home decor ideas gave you some ideas for your home, or at least kept you entertained for the duration of this post.  As always, I am humbled and honored that you stopped by to see what I was up to.  Be sure and check out all the other ladies that are a part of the Bloggers’ Fall Extravaganza and leave me a comment and tell me what colors and patterns you’ll be decorating with this fall.  A big shoutout goes out to King of Christmas for providing the Christmas tree for the giveaway. Now head on over to Rochelle at Turquoise Lifestyle Co. and see what she’s up to.  See ya next time!
